The photo diary continues ...
the old guttering arrangement above my office door,
also fed with a downpipe from the main roof
|
the tundish connected into the extension downpipe -
the wooden tundish support is only temporary
|
fascia boards now fixed and sealed to the channels, the slope at the LH end is cut to follow the angle of the end roof beam |
the corner where the roof ridge beam meets the gutter fascias |
the roof ridge beam installed, with trim and flashing above |
the new 'internal' walls pre-painted with their first coat of smooth masonry paint - tarpaulin now covering the floor for extra weather protection |
cabling brought from inside the house, ready for power sockets - the flooring infill pieces near the wall won't be fixed until after the roof is on |
new junction box for conservatory lighting - there's already a lighting cable installed which is switched from just inside the existing front door |
now the concrete has cured for four weeks, the ligament faces have been dressed with a grinder to accept the corner post for the windows. |
There's very little further useful work we can do until the windows and doors are delivered.
We've still to buy some minor items for the glass and roof installation, but thoughts are now turning to what we're going to put inside the conservatory in terms of fixtures, fittings and furniture etc.
End of Part 2.
to be continued ...
